The Lockport Tour takes you through a wonderful exploration of the historic village of Lockport and the Erie Canal.  Door-to-door pickup in Rochester and surrounding suburbs.

Village of Lockport & the Erie Canal

See the original 19^th century Flight of Five locks that lifted boats up the Niagara Escarpment and visit the Erie Canal Discovery Center.  You can also visit Lockport’s collection of Tiffany stained glass windows just around the corner.

Your Lockport: Flight of Five experience includes a 2-hour cruise on the Erie Canal, passing through the modern locks.  Already sailed on the Erie Canal and through a lock? Choose the Lockport Cave Walking Tour, where you’ll explore the historic and newly rehabilitated “Flight of Five” Erie Canal Locks. (The Cave Walking tour includes stairs and is not suitable for people with limited mobility).

Other Stops

Visit Kutter’s Cheese Factory Store, a traditional cheese factory outlet, and Old Scotland Yard Distillery, where whiskey is made in small, handcrafted batches. Our lunch stop is at Lock 34 Grill where you’re sure to find something on the menu you’ll really enjoy (lunch not included).

After enjoying the sights of Lockport, we move on to one of the stops of your choice. Either one is suitable for families with children.

Spring Lake Winery – A family operated winery, specializing in three generations of the Varallo family recipes used for each batch of wine.  Relax on their deck by the lake with a flight of their award-winning wines, take a walk on the trails, or walk the vineyard.

Becker Farms – Sample house-made wine, beer, and ciders as well as a variety of locally produced craft beverages and non-alcoholic drinks.  Walk the trails and, in season, pick your own apples. From mid-June to November enjoy the farm animal exhibit and playground, with llamas, potbelly pigs and more! (This option is an extra $12 per adult, $9 per senior, and $5 per child on Saturdays. On weekdays there is no extra charge).
