Rochester City Tour: learn about the city’s rich history as we drive through some of its unique neighborhoods, passing iconic landmarks and beautiful architecture. Stroll through the historic Brown’s Race district, where the mill race once provided power to the factories along the mighty Genesee River, and learn how Rochester grew from a little mill town on the Genesee to an important port at the crossroads of the Erie Canal and Genesee River. You’ll learn how it’s nickname changed from the Flour City to the Flower City, and how it became known as the world’s image center.

Parks & Gardens of Rochester: The city is lucky enough to be home to no less than 7 beautiful parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the “father of modern landscaping” and creator of New York’s Central Park. 2022 marked the 200th anniversary of his birth, 144 years after Rochester’s first Parks Commission hired him to turn donated land into an urban park system.
